On April 10, 2023, Shenzhen Aba Semiconductor Design Co., Ltd. and Guangdong University of Technology held a signing and unveiling ceremony for the “Advanced Semiconductor Technology Joint Laboratory” in Shenzhen. Mr. Zhang Ming, General Manager of Aba Semiconductor, and Professor Li, Dean of the School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Guangdong University of Technology, jointly unveiled the joint laboratory.
The joint laboratory will focus on key technology research in the fields of RF and microwave chips, power management chips, etc., aiming to promote the deep integration of industry, academia and research, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and cultivate high-quality talents in the semiconductor field.
According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will jointly invest in R&D equipment and human resources to conduct research focusing on chip needs in areas such as 5G communications, new energy vehicles, and the Internet of Things. The joint laboratory will also establish a special research fund to support cutting-edge technology exploration and innovative product development.
Zhang Ming, general manager of Aba Semiconductor, stated that the collaboration with Guangdong University of Technology will help the company enhance its core technological competitiveness and accelerate the development of new products. Dean Li of Guangdong University of Technology stated that the joint laboratory will provide a new channel for the transformation of university research results and a platform for students to practice and innovate.
